Working with Artists
I have engaged in numerous collaborations as a poet with visual artists.
When doing my MA Creative Writing (Poetry) at Manchester Metropolitan University I undertook a project whereby I collaborated with over 20 professional artists in the UK and beyond. They chose and responded to a poem of mine and in some cases I wrote new poems in response to an artwork of theirs. This project was rich, revelatory and generous. I was delighted and amazed at the range of artworks produced, and often several artists chose to respond to the same poem in very diverse ways. In due course this page will feature many of those artworks and artists.
